Do You Appreciate Snow?

Our favorite farmer's daughter, Barbie sure does. Snow is cheery, pure and brightens the whole world's atmosphere in her eyes. Everyone doesn't always share the same perspective, however. Snow can require A LOT of patience, but it can also be tons of FUN! The farm received some snow last Tuesday evening. It has since melted into the ground which is now brown again with grass and mud. But Sunday was a beautiful January day on the farm - "breezy, and balmy, and bright with rays of sunshine."

During these winter months we look forward to springtime and of better days ahead. While we do so, Barbie reminds us to "enjoy life as it is and to show the world around you how it is to smile."

Isaac's Summer Project

Late last spring, Isaac began beekeeping! How exciting! He harvested the honey over the summer and is now available for purchase in the store. Although there isn't a huge amount, there is enough to sell - and who wouldn't want to reap the benefits of raw, golden, delicious honey? Honey has several health benefits including:

  1. Being a good source of antioxidants
  2. Having antibacterial and antifungal properties
  3. Healing wounds
  4. Being a phytonutrient powerhouse
  5. Helping digestive issues
  6. Soothing sore throats

Honey is only available in pints while supplies last at $14/pint

So Long Summer

September... The time of year when the nights begin to get cooler and the breezes lighter. Insects seem less pesky and the world a bit quieter. But work on the farm keeps going and it has been quite a blessing to have so much to do and provide for the Green Hills Farm loyal customers.

Brilliant Splendor of Days on the Farm

Love is in the air... and so is rain! Barbie shares with us the love and grace that the Lord has blessed upon the Esh's. The abundant rains over the past weeks have brought forth life, providing food and nourishment for the animals as they prepare for winter storage.
